With a degree in marketing management and innovation from Concordia University, Maris spent the first fifteen years of her career in consumer goods marketing. With customers like Wal*Mart, Sam's Club, Cub Foods and Lund's & Byerly's, most of her work centered around marketing to women – understanding how and why they buy. 


As a professional photographer, she found once again that while she did different types of portrait photography (i.e. weddings, high school seniors, families and professional head shots, etc.), her target audience was often… mom. 


She learned social media from the ground up, and has leveraged her passion for connecting with female consumers to help her create her consulting business. 


She is able to help businesses connect and engage with their target audience in meaningful ways, strengthening connections, reputations and therefore building sales and reputations. 


Maris is innovative, creative, experienced and loves consulting because it allows her a level of honesty and frankness with clients that can't often be provided when working as an employee. She is about to provide her insights from the outside, so to speak, and then help her clients get the work done.
